How much have you changed as a person ?

i was a born-in, and in for over five decades.

in the comparatively short time since leaving the wt for good, for good in both senses !

, i feel i have become a very different person, in quite radical ways.. how do you feel you have changed ?.

I have more time to do what I want, and I have less guilt about what I do.

Now I am 60, when I escaped from the tower I was 33.

I don't have any friends.

I know lots of people and interact well with them but I don't go out to dinner

or other events with people like I did as a witness.

I'm fine with that. Some of it is due to technology and finances.

And I know part of it is not wanting to get caught up in another cult

or another activity that is a waste of time and life.

Im not a social outcast I play soccer twice a week and know maybe

100 people who play soccer. Also I play music in bands and know

a lot of people from that. Just no one I call a friend.

I have 168 friends on face book. But still no interaction or

friends like I had as a witness.

Nowdays I talk to disfellowshiped people and homosexuals.

When I was a witness I had never read the bible.

I only read it as a witness piece meal here and there to

be brain washed to the societys agenda.

Since I have left the witnesses I have read the bible cover to cover 7 times in

5 different translations. That is something I would not had time to do as a witness.

Do I understand how they measure the age of the universe?

I think I do. They measure it by the speed of light how fast they think it takes for light to

get here from different stars using some kind of trigonometry.

Once again it cant be proven. Since it can't be proven its hard to disprove kind of like God.

But mans ability to date rocks has been dis proven that is why I pick that battle.

We all pick our battles. I'll stick with mans inability to date rocks and fossils.

I got a winner with this one.

for years i have been told different scenarios from different christian groups about who the antichrist will be.

some born agains have told me that the antichrist will be satan the devil stripped of all his powers and trapped in a human body on earth.

he will still have the same attitude and try to get people to worship him instead of jehovah and jesus.

For those of you who think you understand how radiometric dating works, lets do this.

I have a fossil. I know a lot about this fossil.

You work at the local university in the paleontology department.

I bring the fossil to you and inquire as to how old the fossil is.

How will our conversation go from there.

And from there I will show you circular reasoning.

We can't know how old the universe is because if I have a candle and burn it off and on for some period

of time, you can't tell me how long the candle was when it was brand new.

You cant tell me how many times I lit the candle and how much i burned of it.

You dont know if the candle was 1 inch, 2 inches, 3 inches, 4 inches or 5 inches and you can

never know.

No one knows how old the universe is. So who can you ask if your guess is correct.

I guess you could ask people who think like you. But that wouldn't make the answer correct or scientific.

No I just happen to have gone around the block enough times to spot circular reasoning.

And to know that there is no way to tell how old the earth or universe is.

It might be 4.5 billion years old but the math you are using to come up with the number is

based on circular reasoning. And as long as it is, I will point that out.

I'm not going to be a sheeple like all you here who don't know what they are talking about and

act like they do. I left that back in the 80's.

Backseat Devil in my opinion. The people in power throughout history have known the

world is a ball. Either the God of the bible told them.

Or the God's of the bible beings from somewhere other than earth told them.

If you don't want to believe in the God of the bible, there is lots of archaeological evidence

that man has interacted with extra terrestrials through out history.
